Born in Chile, Andrés first discovered his passion for films at UNIACC in Santiago, where he graduated with a degree in audio-visual communications. Since then, he has shot more than ten short films and three feature
films to date as a cinematographer. Andrés was awarded Best Cinematography at Fesancor (Santiago Short Film) Festival for Axion, when he was just twenty-two years old. Recently, he was director of photography on the feature film, The Origin of Heaven, directed by David Belmar, shot in the southern part of Chile, and post-produced in Mexico. Motivated by his passion for Cinema, Andrés moved to San Francisco California to earn his Masters in Fine Arts degree. He is currently a graduate student at the School of Cinema, San Francisco State University.
