A woman with a perfect life learns she’s carrying a baby she didn’t expect. With no one to turn to for help, she carries to term and really comes to understand the saying “your life is over when you have kids.”
Jackie Perez is a military brat turned MIT engineer turned filmmaker. She was born in San Antonio Texas to a single working mother and grew up all over the United States after her mother married a Navy man. After an education from MIT and five years of Naval service she left active duty and started a new career in the film industry where she has worked at Court Five Productions, Heroes and Villains Entertainment, Creative Artists Agency and Justin Lin’s Perfect Storm Entertainment. She recently started a genre production company called POINTED PICTURES and is dedicated to promoting diversity behind and in front of the camera. She is on the advisory board of Veterans in Film and Television, a graduate of the WGA Foundation Veterans Writing program, founder of CAA Vets, and a Lieutenant in the US Navy Reserve. She is pursuing a MFA in TV and Screenwriting through Stephens College and polishing her first feature script. She loves horror movies, playing the banjo, and traveling.
