David is an award-winning stage actor, photographer and graphic designer who is a Theatre Arts major from San Jose State University. Throughout the years, he gained valuable knowledge in costume, stage/set and lighting design. This expertise helped to move him up very quickly to becoming the youngest lighting designer in the State of Nevada in 1993. He worked alongside Natasha Katz (Tony Nominated lighting designer of Beauty and the Beast) where he worked in designing and programming the worlds largest lighting system for the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. While there, he worked closely with Michael Crawford, the most famous Phantom of Phantom of the Opera. David’s path soon took him to another famous stage. The Siegfried & Roy Theatre at The Mirage Hotel where he not only designed the lighting for the volcano in front of the hotel, but he did the lighting for well-known duo, Siegfried & Roy, Masters of the Impossible. During his time at The Mirage, he was involved in filming scenes for Vegas Vacation as well as Siegfried & Roy’s Magic Box in IMAX. While in Las Vegas, David was also involved in costume, set and lighting design as well as being hired to do graphic design projects for many celebrities, including David Cassidy, Jay White, Desi Arnaz Jr., Bill Cosby, Randy Travis, Alabama, Lionel Richie and many more. David now works full-time in his own company, Sabre Design, where he continues to design. David also just happens to have grown up just outside of Yosemite National Park in the small town of Coarsegold and he currently resides in Groveland.
