A young man walks in to a dingy and seemingly abandoned building with nothing but a chair, a notebook and a backpack of supplies. He looks like he’s been walking forever. After looking over the bleak surroundings, he sets up his chair in the middle of the room and begins to prepare himself.

After downing a large amount of food and water, he reaches into his pocket and retrieves a notebook. The notebook is filled from cover to cover with hand-drawn symbols, equations and notes.

Near the end of the book are several pages containing patches, each with a hand-drawn value next to them. The young man takes a patch with the value of ‘1’ written next to it and applies it to his neck. He takes a deep breath, closes his eyes and then…

Directed by David Holechek; a filmmaker from Los Angeles, CA. He has either produced, directed or edited six feature-length releases and over a dozen short films. In 2016 he served as director of photography for the SXSW Official Selection ‘Smiling Man’ that went on to screen at over 60 film festivals around the world. His 2012 short film, ‘A Finger, Two Dots Then Me’ has screened at over 80 film festivals around the world and won over 35 awards including the CINE Master’s Series Award and the Heartland Film Festival’s Crystal Heart Award. David also shot, produced and edited the feature film ‘Ragamuffin’ – based on the life of renowned singer/songwriter Rich Mullins that was released worldwide in 2014 through Millennium Entertainment. He has edited over 100 hours of broadcast television shows including Animal Planet’s ‘Pit Bulls and Parolees’, Fox Sports’ Emmy-Nominated ‘Replay’ and the award-winning profile piece ‘A Soldier’s Story.’ He co-owns and operates Duality Filmworks. Company production, editorial and VFX credits include ‘The League’ on FXX, ‘Family Tree’ on HBO, ‘Startup U’ on ABC Family and ‘Hollywood Medium’ on E!.
